Separate to the vehicle itself, Queensland law requires riders aged 16+ to hold at least a Learner's Permit to ride an e-bike or e-scooter on public roads and paths from 31 August 2026 — riding without one can carry a $518 fine. If you don't hold an Australian driver's licence, RENAG can guide you through getting a permit online in as little as 2 days.

How long does the battery last?
For most people, all day. A full charge gives roughly 60–100km of real-world riding, depending on how the bike is used:
- Food delivery riders — typically 60–80km per charge, usually enough for one full 6–8 hour shift.
- Commuters — around 3–5 days between charges at 20km/day, or 2–3 days at 30km/day.
- Weekend and leisure riders — most get a full day of riding on one charge.
Range depends on rider weight, hills, wind, cargo, tyre pressure, how much you pedal and how often you stop and accelerate — a lighter rider on flat roads who pedals regularly will always go further than a heavier rider climbing hills with a loaded delivery bag.
How long does charging take?
It depends on the charger:
- 4.5A commercial fast charger — approximately 5–6 hours
- 2A standard charger — approximately 10–12 hours
Most riders simply plug in overnight, so the vehicle is fully charged and ready to go the next morning.
Can I ride in the rain?
Yes. RENAG vehicles use a sealed, weather-resistant electrical system built for Queensland conditions. As with any vehicle, ride with extra care in heavy rain or storms.
Do I need a licence?
From 31 August 2026, yes — Queensland requires riders aged 16+ to hold at least a Learner's Permit to ride an e-bike or e-scooter on public roads and paths. Can I ride to work every day?
Yes — RENAG vehicles are commercial-grade and built for daily use, not just weekend rides.
Can I use it for Uber Eats?
Yes. The RENAG Ultra eBike is built with delivery riders in mind — it's a popular choice for Uber Eats, DoorDash and other food delivery work.
What happens if something breaks?
Maintenance is included in your rental. Our professional mechanics handle servicing and repairs, so normal wear and tear isn't an unexpected bill for you.
What if I get a flat tyre?
The RENAG Ultra eBike uses a solid puncture-resistant tube system, and the RENAG Commercial Scooter runs solid tyres — both are designed to dramatically cut down on flats compared to a typical bicycle.
