Terms & Conditions - Standard Rental Agreement

1. Our Commitment to You

RENAG eMobility provides safe, well-maintained electric vehicles. Nothing in this Agreement affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Understanding This Agreement

This Agreement is between:

and You, the renter named on the Rental Document.

4. Riders

• Only you or an authorised rider may use the vehicle.
• Unauthorised riders void LDW and make you fully liable.

5. Security Deposit

• A security deposit of $150 is payable before your rental begins.
• The deposit is held against damage, loss, unpaid fees, or any breach of this Agreement.
• If the vehicle is returned on time and undamaged, and all fees are paid in full, the deposit is refunded in line with the refund timeframe in clause 19 (Payment Terms).
• RENAG may deduct any amounts you owe under this Agreement from the deposit before refunding the balance.
• If your liability exceeds the deposit amount, you remain responsible for the difference.

6. Where You May Ride

The vehicle must remain within Queensland unless RENAG approves otherwise.

7. Your Obligations

• No illegal use, racing, towing, or unsafe riding.
• No riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• No passenger transport for payment without approval.
• Return the vehicle to the agreed time and place.

8. Maintenance, Security & Safety

• Follow manufacturer instructions.
• Battery must be returned charged, or a $10 fee applies.
• Cleaning fee: $25 if returned unclean.
• Puncture repair: $12.
• Rear tyre replacement cost applies unless damage is impact-related.

9. Return of Vehicle

• Return to the correct location, on time.
• Wrong location return may incur up to $10 per km.
• RENAG may recover the vehicle if unsafe or unpaid.

10. Damage, Loss & Liability

You are liable for damage or loss unless limited by LDW. Downtime charges may apply.

11. Recovery Costs

Costs may include towing, storage, admin, and appraisal. Charged up to repair cost or market value.

12. Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)

$10 per week (optional)

For theft or total loss, liability is limited to:

$1,450 Excess Fee

LDW Does NOT Cover:

• Battery loss, theft, or damage
• Overhead or impact damage
• Undercarriage or suspension
• Water or flood damage
• Tyres or accessories
• Reckless or deliberate damage
• Lost keys, chargers, helmets, locks
• Excessive cleaning fees

13. Liability Without LDW

You are liable for full replacement cost. If stolen and recovered, a $450 recovery fee applies.

15. Theft & Incident Reporting

• Police report within 24 hours
• Notify RENAG within 24 hours
• Return all keys within 48 hours

Failure voids LDW.

16. Payment Plans

Minimum $50/week, at RENAG’s discretion.

17. Claims & Incidents

Report incidents to Police and RENAG. Do not admit liability. Cooperate fully.

18. Direct Debit & Payment Disputes

You must contact RENAG before lodging any bank dispute.

• $55 bank chargeback fee
• $170 RENAG admin fee

Applies regardless of bank outcome.

19. Payment Terms

Refunds: 6 business days. Overdue: 10% interest p.a. plus collection costs.

20. Termination

Either party may terminate for breach. Early returns may adjust charges.

21. Property Left in Vehicle

RENAG is not responsible for lost or stolen items, unless required by law.

22. Privacy

Your information is handled under the Australian Privacy Principles.

23. Acknowledgement
